Consumers suffer amid Cable TV operators’ tussle

Anantnag: Many homes in this south Kashmir district have nothing to view on their television sets as Anantnag Cable Operators Association (ACAO) has snapped signal to protest “exorbitant” hike in monthly fee by a City cable owner.
“The owner has demanded exorbitant hike in the monthly subscription which is against the rules and regulations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRIA),” ACAO said in a statement.
The Association has urged the district administration to look into the matter and has also asked JK-Take-I Media to send representative to the district to ascertain the factual position.
“Till then ACOA will not restore the cable signal. The customers are requested to co-operate in this hour of crisis arising out of approach of the cable,” said the ACOA statement
