3 killed in road mishaps

Srinagar: Three people were killed and two others were injured in separate road accidents in the Kashmir valley, police said Saturday.
A vehicle hit and critically wounded a six-year-old Ajmat Farooq Najar at Thajiwara in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, a police spokesman said, adding the injured was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
An unidentified person was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle at Mirgund on Srinagar-Baramulla highway. The injured was rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to Srinagar, the spokesman said, adding the injured died later.
A motorcyclist Stanzin Outsal was killed on the spot and his pillion mate was injured when a motorcycle they were riding skidded off the road at Shay in Leh in Ladakh region. The injured was hospitalised, the spokesman said.
A vehicle hit and injured Mohammad Shafi Lone at Madmadav Kalarooch in Kupwara. The injured was referred to Bone and Joint hospital here by local hospital.
