Anantnag: Stating that the ruling National Conference-Congress coalition has only scams in its kitty, opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syeed on Thursday said that his party is the only party which has an agenda.
“The performance of NC-Congress coalition has been very disappointing. The coalition has nothing in its kitty except scams and frauds. The coalition has failed the people of all the regions of the state. All the developmental projects started during PDP regime still await completion,” Mufti said while addressing rallies in Pahalgam Assembly constituency.
He claimed that PDP is the only party which has a strong agenda. “Our agenda is to find a solution to the Kashmir issue. All of you are witness to how I had forced government of India to start dialogue process with Pakistan over Kashmir issue. I want to change the entire system but for that I need your support. If your supports remains, I promise you we will act as a bridge between the two countries to seek solution to the Kashmir issue,” Mufti said.
He said that besides striving for the resolution of Kashmir issue his party’s agenda is to end the problem of unemployment in the state.
Seeking votes for his daughter Mehbooba Mufti in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Mufti said, “Parliament is the house where Kashmir has important position. We need to send strong people there who can represent your aspirations sincerely and aggressively. All of you know the performance of Mahbooba Ji. She healed the wounds of the people better than me.”
