Zaffar Akber leads protest in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) led by its chairman Zaffar Akber Bhat Monday staged a protest demonstration in Press Enclave here.
Speaking to media ppersons on the occasion, Bhat said that the demonstration was aimed “to remind world community about the Kashmir conflict, which has endangered the peace and prosperity in whole south Asian region.”
“The demonstration aimed to convey the world community that farcical elections in the disputed state by force under Indian constitution can’t be substitute to referendum or isn’t referendum on Kashmir,” Bhat said, adding “Right from 1947 India tried its best to conduct elections in disputed state and tried to convey international community the peace, prosperity and democracy is prevailing here which is not only propaganda but a designed policy of Government of India to mislead the world community about the ground realities.’
Bhat said that “Elections can never be projected as referendum for Kashmir issue which has been accepted as a dispute by United Nations.”
