Secretary Animal Husbandry conferred diploma e-Governance at IIM Indore

SRINAGAR: Special Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments, Amit Sharma, who had recently completed one year full-time Executive Post Graudate Programme in e-Governance (EPGP-EG) from Indian Institute of Management, Indore, was conferred diploma in e-Governance Monday during 16th annual convocation ceremony held at IIM Indore Campus, an official spokesperson said.
Renowned historian, critic and writer Ramchandra Guha, was the chief guest on the occasion, who along with KV Kamath, chairman of the Institute’s Society and Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Indore shared the dais during the convocation ceremony.
Amit Sharma was awarded the diploma by KV Kamath, alongwith 36 other successful participants of EPGP-EG Programme.
Amit Sharma, who was the only Civil Servant in this 2013-14 batch of EPGP-EG graduates in IIM Indore, said role of e-Governance specialists in different quarters in shaping up the e-Governance scenario in the nation is upcoming.
Amit Sharma, while being on deputation for pursuing this e-Governance specialization from IIM Indore, had conceived a lot of J&K centric projects during this programme for implementation of e-Governance in the state such as e-PRC Project for usage of authentic Biometrics databases of Aadhaar/NPR, e-PDS Smart Card solutions for facilitation and transformation of functioning of CAPD Department, Computerization of Land Records in Revenue Department, Automation of Labour and Employment Department, MIS Implementation in Excise Department, Online Conduct of Examination in Technical Education Department, Improvement in MIS of Health Department, creation of J&K State Resident Data Hub, etc.
Ramchandra Guha said that it is high time now that these fresh graduates of IIMs and other top institutes work as uniting factors and contribute towards streamlining of this vital field, according the spokesperson.
