Ruthless India crush Oz to make it four out of four

DHAKA: A fighting half-century from Yuvraj Singh and some timely strikes from Ravichandran Ashwin helped India score a comfortable 73-run victory over Australia in a World Twenty20 Group 2 match on Sunday.

Yuvraj struck a 43-ball 60 to lift India to 159-7 after which Ashwin took 4-11 as Australia was dismissed for 86 in 16.2 overs and fell to a third successive loss in the tournament.

Yuvraj added 84 for the fifth-wicket with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (24) after India was struggling at 66-4 in the 12th over.

Yuvraj struck five fours and four sixes during his eighth T20 international half-century to ensure India finished its league engagements with four wins and topped the group.

For Australia, Glenn Maxwell top-scored with 23.
