REASI: As a part of extension of postal services in Jammu and Kashmir one more modernized post office was today inaugurated by Chandra Prakash, Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir at Deputy Commissioner’s office Reasi in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, an official spokesperson said.
Speaking after the inauguration of post offices, Chandra Prakash said that India Post has a vision of being a technology-enabled self-reliant market leader and is looking to move from a government service provider to a customer-enabled service provider where the customer will be the focus of multifarious service delivery platforms.
He reiterated the commitment of the department to provide services to the public at their door steps adding that post office at DC Office Reasi will surely help the people in general and government departments in particular.
DC Reasi said post offices offering variety of services to people with the blend of technology is really a pleasant experience. He further expressed gratitude to Department of Posts and Chief Postmaster General, J&K for opening of new post office in DC Office complex.
