Gumbi Software kick starts recruitment drive at KU

SRINAGAR: A delegation of Gumbi Software, an IT company based in Banglore, Saturday visited Kashmir University to kick start its camps recruitment drive in the varsity and selected four students for training and employment.
Shabir A Bhat, director for Centre for Career Planning and Counseling (CCPC), of the KU, which organized recruitment drive told the Kashmir Reader that this was the first phase of Gumbi in the KU and there will be further recruitments from the company.
“Their recruitment process is very tough, but they are going recruit more people from here,” Bhat said, adding, the company intends to train graduate and postgraduate from IT background and based on their performance they will be later considered for placements.”
The initiative with KU is being taken under government of India’s Udaan scheme to train youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
“We offer Skill Development training to selected candidates – in Animation Development, Network Engineering, Center Co-ordination and in Marketing Management, as the corporate partner of National Skill Development Corporation for UDAAN initiative for Jammu & Kashmir youth,” a statement of the Gumbi said.
