Gujjar leader among 4 join PDP

Srinagar: Veteran Gujjar leader Deen Mohammad Cheetah and three other people joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kashmir valley on Friday, a party spokesperson said here.
He said party president Mehbooba Mufti in a function at her official Gupkar residence, welcomed Cheetah, former deputy director prosecution Bari Andrabi, political activist Syed M Hussain and Kashmir-based journalist Tahir Syeed into the party fold.
Speaking on the occasion, the new entrants said it is the performance of the PDP both at the government and at opposition and the credibility of the party leadership that motivated them to join the party.
They claimed that PDP not only changed the political discourse in the state but helped to bring about a new change in the overall situation on the ground.
