BARAMULLA: SKUAST-Kashmir, Wadoora College held a daylong awareness camp for the fruit growers of the area here on Thursday.
Scientists from agriculture, hoticulture and other allied sectors held awareness session for the farmers and updated them about the latest technologies and tecnhiques for enhancing fruit production and increasing yield of the food crops.
Hundreds of farmers and fruit growers were present on the occasion in the camp.
Imtiyaz Ahmad, professor of the horticulture wing while talking on the occasion said that distric Baramulla despite being one the biggest agriculture distructs of the state, is still facing lot of the problems in the field of horticulture and the crops faces number of diseases about which farmers are still unaware.
He said the main motive of the camp was to share knowledge with and adivse them about hey can increase their food and fruit production and which kind of plants, grains are available in the university for them.
