KTMF demands relief for fire-affected traders of Bandipora

SRINAGAR: A delegation of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Fedration (KTMF) led by its president, Mohammad Yasin Khan Thursday visited Bandipora to asses the situation after a major fire struck a market there.
According to a spokesperson of the KTMF, Akbar Shopping Complex at Khadim Market, Bandipora was completely devastated by the fire while nearby shops and residential houses were also damaged.
“Delegation was informed by the district president, KTMF, Bandipora, Mohammad Yousef Parra and other members that the concerned MLA did not even bothered to visit the spot, to express his sympathy with the affected traders,” the spokesperson said and added that traders strongly condemned MLA’s behavior and apathetic attitude toward the trading community and residents of the Bandipora.
“We request the district administration to take steps for immediate relief to the affected victims,” KTMF president Khan said, adding, “ the financial institutions, bank and insurance companies of the concerned district must provide some relaxation to the affected traders.”
KTMF delegation also assured the affected traders for all possible support, he said.
