‘PDP will make sure Kashmiris are treated with respect’

Srinagar: Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday said it will make sure that people of Jammu and Kashmir are “no longer denied basic rights and treated with respect”.
Addressing a party workers convention in north Kashmir, senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig said if PDP candidates are elected to the Indian Parliament, they “would convey a clear message to the country that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would no longer accept injustice and denial of rights.
“The PDP after changing the complexion of politics within the state would make a serious and sincere effort to set a new institutionalised and serious Kashmir policy at the national level. We will tell the country that the people in J&K cannot be treated as cattle who could be denied their basic rights just because NC has failed to represent us effectively at the centre,” said Baig.
