KU misplaces probe report into Official’s death

Srinagar: A probe report into the mysterious death of former Controller Examinations Kashmir University(KU), Professor Abrar Hasan Khan, has been ‘misplaced’ and the varsity has formed another committee to trace it.
This has been revealed by KU authorities in response to a query under the Right to Information(RTI) Act. Prof Abrar had died under mysterious circumstances in 2005 while inspecting the construction of a university block, prompting the KU authorities to launch a probe into the incident.
Nine years later, in response to a RTI application filed by Prof Abrar’s son, the university has claimed that the probe report was “missing and untraceable.”
“The investigation report is untraceable and misplaced and University has placed a fresh Committee to look and find the said report,” the KU has said in its reply.
