Shabir Shah on Jammu province visit

SRINAGAR: Senior leader of Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) and chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah Thursday left for Jammu in connection with “the ongoing consultations vis-à-vis HCJK with DFP activists of Jammu, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Doda, Rajouri, Bhaderwah and Poonch.
In a statement, the DFP spokesperson said that Shah will “deliberate on the prevalent political situation in the state with party activists in Jammu and will make them aware of their responsibilities towards the freedom movement.”
“Shah will also deliberate on the continuous detention of party zonal president, Moulana Abdul Qayoom and other innocent pro-Hurriyat people and will raise voice against the human rights violations taking part in these areas,” the statement said, adding “He will also stress on the unity in resistance leadership so as to find a proper way to deliver the unanimous and thorough future course of action with regards to freedom struggle.”
