Ganderbal disburses 43% credit target in Q3

GANDERBAL: Credit dispensation in the district under priority sector for 2013-14 at the end of third quarter has reached 43 percent target with Rs 82.38 crores disbursements for establishment of 5707 units.
According to information given out during district level review committee meet held on Monday under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Sarmad Hafeez here, the banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 145.71 crores for establishment of 7922 units at the end of the third quarter under District Credit Plan 2013-14, according to an official statement.
Out of total disbursement, Rs 82.38 crores for establishment of 5707 units under priority sector registering achievement of 43 percent and Rs 63.34 crores for establishing of 2215 units under non-priority sector registering an achievement of 41 percent Out of priority sector, Agriculture and allied activities registered 63 percent MSE 45 percent Education 50 percent, housing 22 percent and others 81 percent. CD ratio of the district stands at 64 percent, the statement said.
The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal stressed upon the banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play vital role in eradicating unemployment crisis of the district by achieving the set targets under various sectors for setting up income generating units. He also advised the financial institutions to sanction/disburse the cases strictly as per guidelines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies. He advised NABARD, other concerned agencies for timely release of subsidy/margin money.
Meeting of the Local Advisory Committee of JKB RSETI was also conducted alongside the DCC/DLRC meeting.
The performance and achievements of RSETI Ganderbal were discussed besides the Annual Action Plan and Financials for the ensuing financial year 2014-15 were also approved in the meeting.
Hafeez instructed the concerned line departments to work in close coordination with RSETI to make the training programmes successful. He also directed them to hold joint awareness camps in far flung areas of the district to make the rural youth aware about various trainings and schemes available.
