KTF demands relief package for snow-affected shopkeepers

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Traders Federation (KTF) Saturday criticized the state government for its failure to ease the sufferings of the business community, who have been hit by the recent snow and water logging.
In a statemenst issued by the publicity chief of the federation Aijaz Shahdar, said a delegation of KTF under the presidentship of Jan Muhamamd Koul visited several commercial places in the city and took stock of the sufferings faced by the shopkeepers due to the snowfall.
The said that despite the government spent more than Rs 1 crore for the drainage system and roads of Budsha Chowk and Lal Chowk, these are not functional and with few inches of snow the business hub and city center got waterlogged bringing lot of inconvenience to general public as as well shopkeepers.
The federation sought immediate relief for the snow-affected shopkeepers and a relief package for the shopkeepers affected by the JCRB Flyover project.
