Army sends 20 Kupwara youth on ‘technical tour’

Kupwara: Indian Army Tuesday flagged off 20 youth comprising apprentice drivers from Qaziabad area here to Vadodara and Ahmedabad for technical awareness tour, according to an Army spokesperson.
“The tour has been conceived to expose the youth to peace and development outside Kashmir, especially in the field of automobile industry,” the spokesperson said. “The tour also aims to provide an opportunity to the youth to see the diverse culture of the other parts of the country.”
The spokesperson said during the tour, the participants will get to visit Electrical and Mechanical Engineering School of Army and General Motors Vehicle Construction Plant at Vadodra, Sanand Nano Construction Plant and Amul Dairy at Anand, Ahmedabad. These youth will also be visiting some places of historical and cultural importance like Sabarmati Ashram, Auto world Vintage Car Museum, Jama Masjid, Bhadra Fort, Kankaria Lake and Ahmed Shah Tomb at Ahmedabad, the spokesperson said.
