In a statement issued from Amritsar, the party spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh said “the news of Geelani’s not keeping well and falling ill has caused us a worry.”
“Now, we have learned that his health condition is improving slowly, so we hope he would get well soon to lead the freedom movement,” the statement said.
The statement said that people in Punjab admire Geelani “for his vision and strong determination.”
“Geelani Sahib symbolizes Kashmir’s freedom movement, however, he has earned respect outside Kashmir also, for which Kashmiris should feel proud,” the statement added.
