Pampore: Locals want Commerce stream at higher secondary school

Pampore: The students and parents of Pampore Township in south Kashmir have urged the authorities concerned to introduce Commerce stream in Boys Higher Secondary School Pampore.
According to the locals, the school was established in 1955 but since then there have been no efforts to introduce the stream in the institution.
The students from the township are forced to travel to Srinagar or Pulwama to study commerce, locals said.
“The absence of Commerce stream is forcing some interesting candidates to opt for other subjects,” said one of the students.
“Most of our precious time is wasted in travel to reach and return from the schools in Srinagar or Pulwama,” another student said.
