1 killed, 23 injured in mishaps

Pampore: One person was killed and 24 others injured, including 11 tourists from Maharashtra, in three separate road accidents in Jammu region, officials said Wednesday.
They said a vehicle met with an accident at Bakhad Sunderbani on Wednesday, leaving dead Asad Parvez, son of Mohammad Aslam, of Budoon Rajouri, and injuring Zahoor Ahmad, son of Muhammad Razak.
Meanwhile, a Tata Winger (JK02AH-0146) collided with a truck (JK02W-7875)  at Mehar, Ramban on Wednesday afternoon,  injuring 13 persons.  The injured, including 11 tourists from Maharasthra, were shifted by police to district hospital Ramban where four of them were referred to JMC Jammu in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, nine persons were injured when a Xylo vehicle (JK02AW-7594) which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu slipped into the Chenab on Tuesday late night in Ramban district.
The injured were shifted to district hospital Ramban. Eight of the injured, who were critical, were referred to Srinagar.
