SRINAGAR: With Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association’s all important Working Committee meeting going to be held today at Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Player Association has urged president JKCA Dr Farooq Abdullah to ‘sideline the tainted members’ who have been alleged of wrongdoings in the multi-crore scam that hit the association early 2012.
According to the press release from the J&KCPA, the scam has left “cricket and cricketing affairs of J&KCA in disarray” and had put “developmental works related to cricket” on a standstill.
They also urged Farooq to direct police submit the charge sheet without any delay.
“We request President JKCA who has convened a working committee meeting on 4th March in Jammu to take some concrete steps in this regard and sideline the tainted members from all the cricketing forums,” the statement reads.
The players’ association also urged the JKCA president to direct police to submit the chargesheet without any delay.
