5TH IISM SKI COURSE: 70 aspiring skiers graduate

SRINAGAR: A batch of 70 students graduated in the fifth ski course of Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM) Gulmarg on Saturday, a statement issued here said.
According to the statement, 20 local students in the batch from rural areas who were sponsored by IG Police Kashmir
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Farooq Ahmad Lone,was the chief guest for graduation ceremony
Speaking on the occasion Lone said that the IISM is playing a very vital role both in tourism and is also helping the local youth in transforming their personalities.  He said that state government was very happy to have such an Institute in the state and they  provide all help to make it as one of the best adventure academy of the world.
He emphasized the need of such training to youth which generate employment opportunities for them in the State.
Lone gave away awards to the winners of different skiing events during the course.  Institute plans many adventure courses in the coming summer season as well.
Principal IISM J S Dhillon said that IISM is playing a very vital role to train the youth of India-Kashmir in specific- and developing in them different adventure skills.
