SRINAGAR: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Abhai Kumar (IFS) Wednesday felicitated its soccer team for pocketing the 4th Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football tourney. The Forest XI overpowered their arch-rivals J&K Bank early this week to be crowned as the champions of the one of the most followed tournaments in J&K’s soccer calendar.
Kumar said that the department will provide better facilities to the sportspersons of any field. He added that his department will soon launch a talent hunt and players will be insured in coming days.
It was under Kumar, according to the press statement, that a sports policy was drafted in the department top go with the sports advisory board that will work for the promotion of the sports.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Additional PCCF Deepak Khanna, Chief Conservator of Forests, WPR&T S.C.Sharma, Personnel Officer M. Latif, A.R.
