Jammu: Government Wednesday said a special police team had been deputed to Punjab to investigate the mysterious death of a B-Tech student of Doda in a college there.
Informing the Legislative Council, minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo said the special police team was headed by SP Abdul Rouf.
He said the team had been deputed to Punjab to probe the mysterious death of Doda resident Mehraj Khalid Mintoo, a B Tech student of Riyat Bara College of Engineering and Technology, Hoshiarpur.
Kichloo said family members of the student were also accompanying the special team.
The Minister said the Principal Secretary, Home, had taken up the matter with the authorities in Punjab and asked them to constitute a special team for investigations.
