SRINAGAR: The detailed project report (DPR) of Power Project Ganderbal has been finalized and submitted to Central Electricity Authority for TEC, and most of the clearances including environmental clearance, Forest clearance have been obtained, J&K government said on Wednesday.
It also said the land acquisition is also in its advanced stage.
The information was given by the minister of state for Power, Vikar Rasool while replying to a question by Sheikh Ghulam Rasool in Legislative Council.
He said the project is to be implemented as a State Sector project by State Power Development Corporation under EPC mode and the bidding process has been completed on December 27, 2013. He also informed that evaluation of the techno commercial bids is underway and price bids are likely to be opened by ending February 2014 and work on the main project components will start immediately after award of contract to the successful bidder and project is targeted for completion in 2018-19.
