CUK site office at Ganderbal inaugurated

Ganderbal: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdul Wahid on Monday inaugurated the site office building of the varsity here.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Sarmad Hafeez, Superintendent of Police, Shahid Meraj, CUK Registrar, Prof Muhammad Afzal Zargar, Finance Officer, Controller of Examination, senior faculty members and other administrative staff was present on the occasion.  Sarpanchs of adjoining areas and locals were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Wahid said the University is a mega project and the people of Ganderbal are fortunate to have a project of this magnitude and importance in their district. He said the University is seriously thinking about shifting the activities to its permanent campus in immediate future and the inauguration of the site office has set the ball rolling in this regard.
The CUK Vice-Chancellor informed the gathering that the University has already entered into agreements with a reputed architect as well as Project Management Consultants and with the finalization of the Master plan, the stage is now all set for initiating the first phase of the campus development process.
The Vice-Chancellor also interacted with the local populace and listened to them patiently. He assured all possible support provided under norms.
