Pak waiting for new Indian govt for resumption of talks

Attari: Pakistan is waiting for the new government to be formed in India for peace talk process to be restarted, Governor of Pakistani Punjab Mohammad Sarwar said here Saturday .
Indian leadership is busy with the upcoming parliamentary elections and Pakistani government was waiting for the new government to be formed to restart the peace dialogue process, Sarwar told reporters here.
The Governor, who is here to attend a wedding function, said it was a purely private visit, but he would meet Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his cabinet colleagues.
Talking about visa problems being faced by people of both the sides, he said a suitable remedy to enhance people to people relations would be found soon after the elections in India.
Sarwar expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown to him, and recalled his last visit in 2005 when he met freedom fighter and leftist leader Harkishan Singh Surjit.
Mohammad Sarwar was a British Labour MP from 1997 to 2010, and renounced his British citizenship in August 2013 following his nomination as Governor of Punjab by the Nawaz Sharif government.
