Very pleased to hear Parvez Rasool has been picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for #IPL7 Here’s hoping he gets more games than when with Pune.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Twitter

It is just a beginning for a very very talented cricketer. I thought he deserved more than this. I want him to bag Indian cap which I feel is a matter of time if he keeps his head down and works harder. I am very pleased for Parvez.
Former Indian skipper and J&K coach Bishan Singh Bedi

Well it is something he deserved big time. He has been a star performer in last two seasons and this would also help him to finetune his skills. J&K cricket is in need of such developments. I urge left out J&K players not to lose heart and keep scoring runs and taking wickets.
Treasurer Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association Manzoor Wazir

It is something that was expected. He has performed both with the bat and ball this season and it was no surprise that franchises bid so aggressively for him. He is a star cricketer from our state and deserves all the accolades.
Joint Secretary Kashmir Wing JKCA Ghulam Mohammad Bhat

It is a proud moment not only for me but for the entire J&K state His rising graph shows that we are second to none. Our players have talent to excel at the highest level. Those who have missed out on IPL contract shouldn’t lose heart.
J&K coach Abdul Qayoom Bagow

It is a great moment for us. He has done his hometown Bijbehera and entire J&K state. He has become a role model and we look up to him, for he is a wonderful human begin as well and whole of Bijbehera is proud of him.
