All pro-India politicians unworthy of vote: Geelani

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday said the interim bail granted to former Health Minister Shabir Ahmad Khan in the sexual assault case had substantiated apprehensions  that government was going to  hush the matter and shield the accused.
“In fact, there is every possibility that Shabir Khan might be given charge of some ministry in the future,” he said.
“We already knew that this was going to happen. That the government would try and shield the accused minister and hush the matter just as it hushed up the 2007 sex scandal involving ministers, bureaucrats and other senior officials,” Geelani said in  a statement.
“Likewise in the Shopian double rape and murder case, Omar Abdullah himself played a heinous role in the cover-up and gave clean chit to the guilty on the very first day of the incident,” he said.
Geelani appealed people to stay away from pro-India politicians, “all of whom are morally  bankrupt and involved in crimes and scandals.”
“Some unfortunate people are ruining their hereafter by following these morally corrupt politicians and participating in the farce election process. Vote is a sacred trust and the  Holy  Quran clearly directs Muslims to use it in favour of only those who deserve it , not politicians  who have blood of innocent    persons on their hands and are devoid of any morals or character,” he said.
