Jammu: Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday said that it will raise the issue of inclusion of “left out areas” into list of new administrative units with the Governor.
“Areas which have been left out from the newly created administrative units have pinned their hopes on us. They want justice. We had raised the issue with the state government, but since there has been no positive response from their side we have decided to approach the Governor with a memorandum and seek his intervention in the matter ,” said the PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, while talking to media after staging a walk out protest in the Legislative Assembly.
Mufti also accused the National Conference of turning the Assembly into their party headquarter .
“They did not allow us to protest inside the house. They behaved with us the way they treat protesters on streets. They do here what they want to do. They have turned the house into Nawe-e-Subh,” said Mehbooba.
