Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference(G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday said there was not even an “iota of difference” among pro-India parties as all of them were “strengthening the Indian occupation in Kashmir.”
“ Whether it is the National Conference, Congress or PDP, the common goal of all pro-India parties is to cause harm to the freedom movement of Kashmiris,” Geelani said while addressing a meeting of the amalgam’s advisory council here.
“The anti-Muslim policy of Congress is an established fact as is the role of its leadership in the creation of Kashmir dispute and the subsequent uncertainty and instability in the region,” Geelani said.
“As far as the local pro-India parties are concerned, the NC is directly responsible for India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and deceiving people time and again,” Geelani said.
Geelani also termed the PDP as “creation of Indian intelligence agencies.”
“During the 2002 so-called Assembly elections, this party tried to pass itself off as a secret ally of the pro-freedom leadership and thus came to power by exploiting the azadi(freedom) sentiment of Kashmiris,” Geelani said.
“ But once it assumed power, the PDP did what its predecessor National Conference had been doing for decades,” Geelani said.
While reiterating his call for complete boycott of the 2014 elections, Geelani said regardless of which pro-India party assumes power in Jammu and Kashmir, “as usual the state government will be run by Indian Home Ministry.”
Meanwhile, Geelani expressed grief and sorrow over the bomb attack in Banu area of Pakistan, in which 20 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 30 others injured
“Whatever the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) is doing is impermissible in Islam,” Geelani said.
Claiming that Pakistan was entangled in a huge conspiracy hatched by “America, Israel, India and puppet regime of Afghanistan,” Geelani said it was possible that these countries might be “paying money to some unscrupulous elements in the tribal areas to spread chaos in Pakistan.”
