Srinagar: A youth was shot dead by government forces at Tengpora Batamaloo on Sunday taking the death toll to 22. It is the first killing in Srinagar. Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader that the slain youth Shabir Ahmad son of Abdul Rehman Mir was chased by forces and shot killed near his home.
