Hajin: A complete shutdown was observed on Thursday here against the army excesses on Wednesday in the area.
The shutdown call was given by the Traders’ Federation, Hajin. All shops remained closed while traffic was off the roads.
The Traders’ Federation, Hajin, also took out a protest march and held a sit-in against the army’s vandalisation of Hajin areas.
Talking to Kashmir Reader, Traders’ Federation, Hajin, president Mushtaq Ahmad said, “The government forces have looted shops, damaged windowpanes and set stacks of grass on fire.”
Mushtaq demanded stringent action against erring officers and said, “Police should lodge an FIR in the case.”
