Baramulla: At a time when the state government strictly banned the teachers working in government institutions to open tuition centers, scores of teachers have opened these centres across the north Kashmir in total violation of the official direction.
Sources said that after the announcement of winter vacations in the Valley schools, the government teachers have begun to operate tuition centers clandestinely in several localities of Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan, Tangmarg, Uri, Boniyar, Rafiabad, Handwara, Langate, Kupwara and the adjoining areas. The opening of tuition centers has been publicized through media outlets.
Chief education officer (CEO) Baramulla Abdul Ahad Ganie said that no government teacher was allowed to open a tuition centre. “We will check out if any teacher is involved in private practice. He would be dealt with sternly,” he said.
