Efforts on to complete 1st phase of Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh corridor: ERA

Srinagar: J&KERA is making all out efforts to ensure the completion of first phase of Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh expressway corridor from Amar Singh college crossing to Barzulla bridge operational by the targeted date, Satish Razdan, Director Kashmir JKERA said Monday.
Razdan informed the Chief Executive Officer, JKERA Farooq Ahmad Lone, who inspected the work on the project Monday, that 70 percent progress has been achieved on the project as whole.
He said that work on Amar Singh College –Barzulla bridge section of the expressway has been given further impetus by mobilization of additional workforce and heavy machinery. Razdan said that work on laying of superstructure component is almost complete with just five slabs remaining to be laid in coming days while as work on allied components like laying of cable for lighting, laying of crash barriers, erecting of view cutters was also underway.
