Srinagar: A group of unemployed engineers on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against the government decision in which “all engineering posts” are given to the migrant Kashmiri Pandits.
The protesters raised the slogans against the decision of the government.
Junaid Nazir, degree holder of automobile engineering said, “We are students of different engineering backgrounds. We are protesting against the recent advertisement number 4 of Services Selection Board which is especially reserved for Kashmiri Pandit migrants. The total number of posts is 150; 100 for ‘JE’ civil engineering and 50 posts for electrical engineers.”
“This is sheer injustice with the valley based engineering degree holders. We want the 50% of quota,” he said.
