Pakherpora gunfight: Private vehicle set ablaze by protesters

Srinagar: A private Tata Mobile vehicle was set ablaze by protesters at Pakherpora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district amid a fierce gun battle between militants and government forces.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that angry protesters burned down the vehicle for allegedly ferrying army soldiers.
Meanwhile, clashes between protesters and forces were going on in the area. At least one protester has sustained critical injuries in the clashes.
Reports of intense clashes have reached from Pakherpora and Dalwan areas.
Earlier a gunfight between militants and forces started at Putlipora village of Pakherpora in Budgam district.
