BARAMULLA: A free mega medical camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash in the frontier village of Lachipora Boniyar of Baramulla district. The camp was organized by the health department in collaboration with 6th JAKLI regiment Lachipora.
CMO Baramulla Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, Commanding officer 6th JAKLI Regiment PK Gill, BMO Boniyar and various other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Large number of patients from Lachipora, Bijhama and Manyan areas of the area were provided free medical checkup and medicine.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nisar Ahmad Naqash, chief medical officer Baramulla Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo and commanding officer P K Gill addressed the people on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of the camp and said that such camps shall also be organized in other remote villages so that the medical facilities are being made available at the doorstep of people living there. He reiterated the Government’s resolve of providing better and cheap medicare facilities and said that such events will benefit the poor sections of the society who are not able to tolerate the burden of medical expenses.
Block medical officer Boniyar, Dr Haleem, Dr Ayaz and other senior officers and doctors were present on the occasion.
