Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackeray) Tuesday said that it would hoist the Indian flag in LalChowk, Srinagar soon.
The outfit was reacting to a statement by National Conference president Farooq Abdullah who dared the Modi-led government to hoist the Indian flag at LalChowk before talking about unfurling it in the Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK).
The outfit’s state chief DimpyKohli said the time is not too far when the tricolour would be hoisted in PaK as well.
In a controversial statement, former Chief Minister Abdullah yesterday had said, “They (centre and BJP) are talking about raising the flag in PaK. I ask them first you go and raise the tricolour at LalChowk in Srinagar. They can’t even do that here and they are talking about PaK”.
Abdullah had said this while defending his earlier comment that PaK did not belong to India.
