Police recovers kidnapped Baramulla girl from Punjab

Baramulla: Police on Tuesday said that they rescued a 15-year old girl of KunzarBaramulla from Punjab who was kidnapped a week back.
A police spokesman said that they received a complaint from Javed Ahmed Shah of BatporaKunzer that his 15-year-old niece (name withheld) was kidnapped by Arjun Singh resident of Punjab on November 18.
They said after receiving complaint a case FIR 97/17, under section 363 was registered in the police station Kunzer and investigation was taken up, spokesman said.
Investigation revealed accusedArjun Singh son of Nirmal Singh of KhizarporeMukeriyan Punjab with the help of Tasleema Begum wife of Riyaz Ahmed Mir kidnapped the girl from Batpora village in Kunzer, spokesman added.
Police spokesman further said that a police party was deputed to Punjab and with the help of Punjab police, accused was arrested girl was recovered from his possession.
“The kidnapped girl was handed over to her parents after conducting the medical examination and other legal formalities. The abettor Tasleema Begum who happens to be the maternal aunt of the kidnapped girl was booked under section 109 RPC for the abetment to offences under section 363/376 RPC,” spokesman said.
The people of the area have expressed gratitude and hailed the role of Police for recovering the kidnapped minor girl, spokesman said.
