DGP discuss arrangements for All India Police Football Championship

JAMMU:Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. S.P Vaid on Monday discussed the arrangements to be made for the B.N Mullik All India Police Football Championship is being hosted by J&K Police from February.
In a high level meeting of police officers at PHQ here Dr. S.P Vaid discussed the arrangements to be made for this tournament.
Discussing the arrangements for the national event, DGP directed the officers for coordinated efforts to make the event a success. He said that various dignitaries and sports personalities are expected to visit Jammu and efficient arrangements are required to be made for them and for their boarding and lodging of visiting teams and staff members. He directed the officers that the sub committees must ensure that the event is organised in a professional manner. During the meeting different tasks were assigned to different committees and each committee is headed by a senior officer.
During the eleven day championship, 47 matches will be played on league cum knock out basis as per AIFF rules. 40 teams from different states, union territories and Central Police Organisations are participating in the championship.
The meeting was attended by Special DG Sh. V.K Singh, Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF Shri Dilbag Singh, ADGP Armed Sh. A.K Choudhary, IsGP Shri Alok Puri, Dr. S.D Singh, Shri Jagjit Kumar, Shri Mubarak Ahmad Ganaie, Shri S.K Gupta, Shri Alok Kumar and Shri Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, AIsGP PHQ Shri Mubassir Latifi, Shri .Kulbir Singh,Shri.Abdul Waheed Shah, Shri. Manoj Kumar Pandith, DySP Sports PHQ, Mir Jameel and PPS to DGP Shri S.L Thakur and Dy.SP Shri Mehboob Majid.
