Warpora residents protest against power outage, water shortage

Sopore: The residents of Warpora village of Sopore protested against prolonged power outages and water shortages.
According to reports, protestors blocked Sopore Bandipora road at Warpora village to register their protest against water and power crisis in the area since weeks.
Protestors raised slogans against the government for failing to provide them basic facilities.
“We have been facing prolonged electricity breakdowns in our area for the last many weeks.” Iqbal a local resident told Kashmir Reader.
Blocking the road for almost two hours, protesters dispersed as after assurances by SHO Warpora.
Meanwhile, officials in PHE division Sopore told Kashmir Reader that problem has been solved and residents will get water as per schedule today onwards.
However, officials in PDD Sopore were not available for comments despite repeated attempts.
