Srinagar: Army on Friday resorted to aerial firing to disperse people who were protesting against the removal of banners of slain militant Adil Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Larav Jageer Tral.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that army restored to aerial firing after protesting people pelted stones ion them as they they tried to remove banners of slain Hizbul Mujahideen militant Adil.
Adil was killed in a brief gunfight with government forces in Seer Jageer village of Tral on Tuesday.
