Two booked for ‘disrespecting’ national anthem in Rajouri

Jammu: Two people have been booked for allegedly disrespecting national anthem during a function in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The National Anthem was “disrespected” on Wednesday at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University during valedictory function of Silver Rolling Trophy wherein Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra was the chief guest.
Some of the students were found sitting and clicking selfie when the national anthem was played, police said.
‘’We have registered a case under Section 3 of Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act (PINHA) under FIR number 519/2017,’’ police said on Thursday.
They said that no arrest has been made so far while investigations are in progress. (Agencies)
