Stolen sheep, mobile phones recovered in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Ganderbal police arrested four persons and claimed solving separate cases of burglary as stolen property including mobile phones and sheep were recovered on their instances.
SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone said that police station in Safapora and Ganderbal received complaints regarding the burglary incidents and subsequently a team headed by DySP Ganderbal Ramiz Raja was constituted to investigate the burglaries.
During the course of investigation, one suspect Shabir Ahmad Dar of Saderkot Bala was rounded up and questioned.
During questioning he confessed that he along-with Hilal Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Safapora have committed burglaries in the area and stole property and merchandise in the area. On their instance, stolen property including 19 mobiles, 58 headphones, 20 mobile chargers and other mobile accessories were recovered from their residences. Speaking to reporters Lone said that further questioning in this regard was going on and more recoveries or arrests were expected.
He said that in Ganderbal, the police station received a complaint regarding theft of 20 sheep from the house of Abdul Qayoom son of Fazal Deen, a resident of Shahpora Ganderbal on October 31.
In this regard, an FIR No 234/17 u/s 357,380 RPC was registered in Police station Ganderbal and an investigation team was constituted under the supervision of Dy SP Ganderbal Rameez Raja.
During the investigation,10 sheep were recovered from the possession of Mushtaq Ahmad Kohli, a resident of Astanmarg Dhara Harwan and Shabir Ahmad Reshi of Khimber. An amount of Rs 50 thousand and a vehicle used to transport the stolen sheep was also recovered from the accused. Lone said investigation was going on in the burglary incidents.
