People raise ‘Azadi’ slogans during Mehbooba’s Khanqah-e-Moalla visit

Srinagar: People raised slogans favouring ‘Azadi’ as the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti visited the Khanqah-e-Moalla shrine which suffered damage during a fire incident last night.
Earlier, Mehbooba reached Srinagar and inquired about the fire incident.
As soon as Mehbooba reached Khanqah-e-Moalla, hundreds of people already there raised slogans, witnesses said.
As per the witnesses men and women who had assembled there raised pro-freedom slogans as Mehbooba came out of the shrine.
Meanwhile, a government statement said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti rushed to Srinagar and visited the shrine of Hazrat Amir i Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (R.A.) which has suffered some damages in a fire incident previous night.
“Cancelling all her engagements, Mehbooba Mufti air dashed to Srinagar early morning and straight away drove to the shrine of saint in the Shahr i Khaas,” the statement said.
