Srinagar: Education Minister Atlaf Bukhari on Saturday announced that class 12th students would be given a second chance to appear in their chemistry paper.
The announcement came during a surprise visit to Press Colony on Saturday where several Class 12 students had assembled to demand a fresh examination for the subject, alleging that the paper contained questions on areas not prescribed in the syllabus.
Speaking to protesting students, the Education Minister assured them of another opportunity. “Whoever has a complaint and feel they need to appear afresh in the chemistry paper, will be given them another chance. Those who are satisfied with the performance, don’t need to appear afresh,” he said.
