Baramulla: The two militants that the army claimed had infiltrated the Line of Control (LoC) in Kamalkote sector on Sunday morning and who were killed in a brief gunfight, were buried near the TV tower at Uri on Monday morning. Both the bodies were handed over to police in the morning and they were buried in a separate graveyard meant for non-locals near the TV tower, which is near the army brigade headquarters. About two dozen people, including some policemen, were present for the burial rites. A local mufti was called to offer their last prayers.
The six non-local militants who attacked an army camp in Uri last year, killing 19 army men, were buried in the same graveyard which is along the riverbank in a forested area.
