PAMPORE: Pampore police on Sunday recovered 12 kilograms of charas powder and an equal quantity of dry cannabis from the house of a government employee at Khankahbagh Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
A police party from police station Pampore received information regarding presence of narcotic substances in the house of a government employee, Bashir Ahmad Dar at Khankahbagh Pampore. The police party led by Station House Officer (SHO) Arshid Ahmad Khan raided the house during the search and recovered the banned material.
Police said that the accused Bashir Dar is absconding and manhunt has been launched to nab him.
A case FIR No 196/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and further Investigations taken up, police said.
