Powergrid observes vigilance awareness week at Jammu

SRINAGAR: Power Grid Corporation of India observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30th October to 4th November 2017 in its all offices falling under Northern Region Transmission System-II.
During the Vigilance Awareness Week, several programmes were organized in various schools and colleges apart from site offices for creating awareness among the employees ,their family members and general masses highlighting evils of corruption and its impact on our society.
On the concluding day, a seminar on “My Vision: Corruption Free India” was organized today in which Dr,Rajiv R.Thakur Professor IIM Jammu anlongwith Ravinder Bhai of Bramhkumari’s were Chief Guests. R.V.S.Kushwaha GM (AM) also graced the occasion. All the employees posted at Regional Headquaters of Powergrid alongwith their family members were present on this occassion
Welcome address of the Seminar was delivered by Sudhir Dhar, Chief Manager(Vigilance).He gave the detailed account of activities taken by vigilance department during this Week. V.S.Kushwaha on this occasion in his address said that corruption is an evil in our society which needs to be fought united. He also outlined various steps being taken by Powergrid in dealing with this social menace. He highlighted the efforts of Powergrid Management in development of values among its employees.
Dr,Rajiv R.Thakur in his remarks appreciated the efforts of company in preventing corruption in its functioning. He gave thrust to organizing such programmes on regular intervals so that people are able to review their conduct. He urged upon the people to take inspiration from the life of Mahatma Gandhi and live a simple life . He underlined the fact that simple life will lead to minimal requirements which in turn will help in eradicating corruption from our society.
Ravinder Bhai spoke on the inner conscience and purity of ones mind and body in removing the corruption .He emphasized on the fact that purity in talks, actions and thoughts are necessary to remove corruption from our society.
At the end of the Seminar, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions. The Vote of thanks was presented by Mahinder Kaloria, Manager(Vigilance).
The Programme was coordinated by Sudhir Dhar, Chief Manager(Vigilance), Powergrid NRTS-II and his team .
